Mölnlycke Mepilex Border Flex Lite Silicone Foam Dressing
Mölnlycke Mepilex Border Flex Lite is a sterile, absorbent silicone foam dressing for managing non-exuding to moderately exuding wounds. Its thin, flexible construction conforms closely to different areas of the body, making it suitable for wounds that require reliable coverage without a bulky dressing.
The advanced four-layer design draws wound fluid into the absorbent pad, spreads it across the dressing, and retains it away from the wound bed. This supports effective exudate management and helps maintain the moist environment needed for wound healing. A breathable, waterproof outer film provides a barrier against bacteria, dirt, and external moisture.
Flexible Protection with Safetac® Technology
Mepilex Border Flex Lite features Safetac® soft silicone adhesive technology. The gentle wound contact layer seals around the wound edges without sticking to the moist wound bed. This helps reduce pain, skin stripping, and trauma to the wound and surrounding skin when the dressing is changed.
Flex Technology allows the bordered foam dressing to move with the body and adapt to different contours. Its self-adherent border helps keep the dressing in position, while the low-profile design supports comfortable everyday wear.

Application Instructions
Before applying Mepilex Border Flex Lite, cleanse the wound according to your healthcare provider’s directions. Gently dry the surrounding skin to help the silicone border adhere properly.
Remove the first release film and place the adhesive side over the wound. Peel away the remaining release film, then gently smooth the border onto the surrounding skin. Do not stretch the dressing during application.
Mepilex Border Flex Lite may remain in place for several days when clinically appropriate. Replace it if the dressing becomes saturated, begins to leak, loses adhesion, or requires changing according to your healthcare provider’s wound care plan.
Important Safety Information
Do not use this dressing if you are sensitive or allergic to any of its materials. Avoid using it with oxidizing products such as hydrogen peroxide or hypochlorite solutions, as these substances may affect the dressing.
Speak with a healthcare provider if the wound becomes increasingly painful, red, warm, or swollen, or if you develop a fever or notice other signs of infection.
Mepilex Border Flex Lite is sterile and designed for one-time use. Do not reuse or re-sterilize the dressing. Do not use it if the sterile barrier has been opened or damaged. A yellow colour change in the polyurethane foam can occur following exposure to air, light, or heat, but it does not affect the product’s properties when used before the expiry date.
