How to Use Peppermint Oil
Essential Oil Diffuser
Add one to four drops to a diffuser filled with the recommended amount of water. Follow the diffuser manufacturer’s instructions and use the oil in a well-ventilated room.
Begin with one drop when using the oil in a small space.
Topical Blend
Peppermint essential oil must be diluted before applying it to the skin.
Add one drop to one teaspoon (5mL) of a compatible carrier oil or unscented skincare product. Mix thoroughly and perform a patch test before applying the blend to a larger area.
Do not apply undiluted peppermint oil directly to the skin.
Cooling Massage Oil
Mix one drop with one teaspoon of carrier oil and massage a small amount into the desired body area. Wash your hands after application and avoid touching your eyes or face.
The cooling feeling is a sensory effect and should not be interpreted as treatment for pain, inflammation, or injury.
Scalp Treatment
Add one drop to at least one teaspoon of carrier oil. Massage a small amount into the scalp, avoiding the face and eyes. Leave it on briefly, then shampoo and rinse thoroughly.
Discontinue use if burning, redness, or persistent irritation occurs.
