Traditional Medicinals Organic Licorice Root is traditionally used as an expectorant to help relieve chest complaints, such as catarrhs, coughs and bronchitis.*

Medicinal Ingredients

Each tea bag (2 g) contains: organic licorice root* (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 1,500mg

Recommended Use

Pour 240 mL freshly boiled water over 1 tea bag and steep, covered, for 10-15 minutes. Gently squeeze the tea bag to release the remaining extract. Adults and adolescents 14 years and older: Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) 2-4 times daily. Adolescents 10-14 years: Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) 1-3 times daily. Children 5-9 years: Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) 1-2 times daily. Children 4-5 years: Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) ½-1 times daily. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond 4-6 weeks.

Cautions

Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use if you have a liver disorder, or are pregnant. Do not use if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorder. Do not use if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac gylcosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.

Recommended Dose

Adults and adolescents 14 years and older

Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) 2-4 times daily.

Adolescents 10-14 years

Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) 1-3 times daily.

Children 5-9 years

Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) 1-2 times daily. Children 4-5 years: Drink 1 cup (1 tea bag) ½-1 times daily.
