How Vitamin B12 Supports the Body
Vitamin B12 works with folate to support normal red blood cell formation. It also acts as an important cofactor for energy metabolism.
Vitamin B12 supports methylmalonyl-CoA mutase, an enzyme involved in producing succinyl-CoA, an important intermediate in the Krebs cycle. It is also a vital component of the methionine synthase pathway.
