Kwellada-P Permethrin Cream is used topically to effectively treat scabies infections. Scabies is caused by a parasitic mite called Sarcoptes scabiei that burrows into the skin and provokes an immune system response which causes rashes and other lesions on the infested skin.
Permethrin Cream for Scabies Treatment
The active ingredient in Kwellada-P Lotion is Permethrin, a potent insecticide that renders Scabies mites paralyzed and unable to survive, as well as eradicating most or all of their eggs.
Permethrin is a chemical toxin from the pyrethroid family. Permethrin attacks the nervous system in Scabies mites when it comes in contact with them, causing extreme muscle spasms, paralysis, and death. While it is safe for humans because our immune system can break it down, it is advisable to talk with your doctor or pharmacist before use.
Is Scabies Dangerous?
Scabies mites will lead to intensely uncomfortable rashes and skin lesions such as papule, nodules and vesicles. While scabies rashes are not inherently dangerous beyond discomfort, repeated itching can cause damage and leave the skin vulnerable to bacterial infections, which can have life threatening complications if left untreated.
Is scabies Contagious?
Scabies is transmissible through close contact of skin and clothes. Immunocompromised individuals can form crusted rashes which carry increased risk of spreading mites through skin to skin contact as well as through bedding and clothing. Prolonged physical contact with family members, coworkers, or peers will increase risk of transmission. Avoid contact with others wherever possible.
Will Scabies Go Away on Its Own?
Scabies mites will not go away on their own, and should be dealt with in a timely manner. Kwellada-P Lotion is an easy, effective single-use skin treatment. In most cases, applying lotion onto skin just once will eradicate scabies infestations entirely.

Directions
Shake well before use.
Do not use Kwellada-P lotion on children under 2 years of age.
- Before applying Kwellada-P lotion, ensure that the skin is clean, dry and cool. Do not take a hot bath before treatment. Use a mild, non-irritating liquid cleanser to clean the skin.
- Thoroughly massage a sufficient quantity of the lotion into the skin to cover the entire area from the neck to the soles of the feet, paying particular attention to the areas between the fingers and toes, under fingernails and toenails, wrists, armpits, genital area and buttocks.
- Leave on affected area for 12 to 14 hours.
- Wash the entire body with a mild, non-irritating liquid cleanser (shower or bath).
- A second application may be required 7-10 days later after first treatment, if live scabies mites are present or new skin lesions appear.

Store between 15 degrees C-30 degrees C.
Caution
Itching may persist for several weeks following treatment with the drug. Retreatment is only necessary if live mites appear or new lesions develop. Do not use if allergic to permethrin, any synthetic pyrethroid or pyrethrins, chrysanthemums or any ingredients in this product. Discontinue use if adverse reaction occurs and consult a physician. Avoid use if you are pregnant. Nursing mothers should consider temporarily stopping breastfeeding or not use Kwellada-P lotion while breastfeeding.
For external use only. The product may irritate the eyes. In case of contact immediately rinse with plenty of water. If swallowed, contact a doctor or Poison Control Centre immediately.
