Cindy Chupack

Cindy Chupack is a celebrated writer, producer, director, and author whose storytelling spans television, memoir, and personal essays. With three Golden Globes and an Emmy for her work on Sex and the City and Modern Family, Chupack has helped shape some of the most beloved and influential television of the 21st century.

Her writing career began after selling her first humorous essay in the early 1990s—an opportunity that launched her transition from journalism into comedy writing. On screen, she has scripted standout episodes and served as a writer/executive producer on shows such as Everybody Loves Raymond, Better Things, Divorce, and the acclaimed Fleishman Is in Trouble.

Chupack’s memoirs bring her signature honesty and wit to the page. A New York Times bestseller, The Between Boyfriends Book offers comic essays on single life, while The Longest Date: Life as a Wife bravely navigates marriage, domesticity, and infertility with humor and heart.

In 2018, Chupack made her feature film directorial debut with Otherhood, starring Patricia Arquette, Angela Bassett, and Felicity Huffman.
