Brooke Jorden

Brooke Jorden holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and Editing from Brigham Young University and brings her expertise to both writing and editorial leadership as Managing Editor at Familius, a publisher focused on enriching family life through books.

Jorden is best known for her Lit for Little Hands series, where she adapts beloved classics—such as The Secret Garden, Jane Eyre, and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz—into engaging board books for young children. These adaptations feature vivid illustrations, interactive elements like pull-tabs and wheels, and simplified yet faithful storytelling that preserves the heart of the original works.

In addition to these adaptations, she writes original board books like I Dig Bathtime, which pairs playful rhythm and construction-vehicle fun through excavator, crane, and bulldozer characters, inviting preschoolers to enjoy daily routines in vibrant rhyme.

Her recent work includes Brothers Are Brothers Forever and Sisters Are Sisters Forever (2025), heartfelt explorations of sibling dynamics filled with simple text and warm illustrations. These books offer gentle lessons about play, conflict, and reconciliation among siblings, crafted to resonate with families of young children.

Residing in Cedar Hills, Utah, Brooke lives with her husband, their three children, and their cats, where she balances family life with writing and teaching master classes about authoring children’s books. Across her growing catalog of over 20 titles, Jorden skillfully combines lyrical simplicity, interactive design, and heartfelt themes to enchant early readers and caregivers alike.
