Ben's 30 Tick & Insect Repellent

Ben's® 30 percent Tick & Insect Repellent can keep you safe from biting insects whether you're hunting, gardening, camping, or hiking. This bug spray with 30 percent DEET repels mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, black flies, deer flies, and biting midges for hours, so you can enjoy the outdoors without being bothered by insects buzzing and biting. The mosquito repellent's innovative formula uses water instead of alcohol and is designed to evaporate slowly, so it lasts longer and absorbs less into the skin. This DEET insect repellent is fragrance-free and oil-free, so it won't bother you while you're wearing it.

Keep biting insects at bay with this tough bug repellent, which includes the highest amount of DEET allowed in Canada for reliable pest protection.

Ticks & Mosquitoes Protection

When you're out hiking, hunting, camping, or gardening, Ben's® 30 percent will keep the bugs at bay. This DEET bug spray keeps mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, black flies, and other biting insects at bay for hours.

Formula without alcohol

Ben's® 30 percent has no alcohol, so it won't hurt, irritate, or dry you out. Because this DEET spray is manufactured with water rather than alcohol, less repellent evaporates from your skin.

Continuous Bug Spray that is simple to use

With the Eco-Spray technology, you'll get more constant, even coverage. The 6 oz. bottle emits a fine mist that can be sprayed from any angle and is free of ozone-depleting propellants.

Cap that locks

Without fear, toss this 6 oz. bug spray bottle into your hiking pack or hunting kit. To avoid any inadvertent spraying inside your pack, the bottle has a locking closure.

Don’t hesitate to venture into the great outdoors.

Disembark into the wilderness with Ben’s as an essential part of your gear. Ben’s 30% DEET formula repels insects and provides ultimate protection even in the wildest of places. Torture tested in the heart of bug country on the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

30% DEET

Ben’s Active ingredient is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ward of pests, including disease carrying insects.

Ben’s insect repellent will drive away ticks and mosquitos, which have been known to carry Lyme disease, Zika virus, West Nile virus, and Dengue fever. Ben’s also helps you be free from annoying bites from chiggers, black flies, deer flies, and biting midges.

Water Based Formula

Ben’s bug spray is free from alcohol, meaning the insect protection you rely on in the outdoors won’t sting or dry out your skin. It will last longer, too, because Ben’s 30% DEET is made with water that won’t evaporate or absorb like alcohol-based bug sprays do. That’s why Ben’s DEET repellent is the best bug spray for long lasting protection.

Fragrance Free

Don’t settle for bug sprays that come with an acrid stench. Ben's 30% DEET insect repellent is an alcohol-free bug spray, meaning Ben’s is fragrance free so you can enjoy the lush smells of the outdoors undisturbed.

How does DEET work?

Insect repellents containing DEET have been proven to be highly effective, consistent bug repellents, and despite this, experts are not really sure how it works.

There are two theories; one is that DEET contains a chemical component that has a strong unpleasant odor to insects that makes them avoid it like the plague. The other theory is that DEET disrupts insects' ability to detect carbon-based substances in human breath and sweat, acting as a sort of cloaking device.

Is DEET Safe?

DEET based repellents have been in use since DEET was developed in the 1940s, and have gone through rigorous toxicity testing which has shown that DEET does not present any health risks when applied to the skin. DEET is for external use only and should not be ingested. Keep away from mouth, nose, and eyes.
