Born in 1977 in Sussex, England, she studied English at the University of Manchester before working in various fields, including as a waitress, bookseller, and publicist, before turning to full-time writing.

Ware’s novels are known for their tightly wound suspense, unreliable narrators, and settings that often feel like characters themselves—isolated houses, luxury cruises, secluded forests, and remote ski chalets.
