Giddy YoYo Raw Maca 454g
Giddy YoYo Raw Maca
GY MACA powder originates from the Junin Plateau high in the Peruvian Andes Mountains of South America.* Today, the Quechua people continue to grow this superfood at its natural altitude (as high as 4500 m), making maca the highest altitude crop on Earth.* The character and properties of maca have been developed by the extreme conditions under which it grows, thriving in the intense sunlight and thin atmospheric conditions. *
Maca is a root vegetable that has an earthy taste, is slightly nutty with a hint of butterscotch.* It is a member of the cruciferous family of plants that includes broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, turnip and radish.* Maca grows both wild and cultivated in central Peru in the high elevation region of the Andes mountains.* Peruvians have been cultivating this crop in this harsh climate for more than 3000 years as maca is a staple food.* Maca is eaten dried, baked, boiled and mashed, used in soups, and made into a fermented drink called maca chichi.*
