As a result of this, vitamin D deficiency is extremely common – studies show that 1 in 3 Canadians is deficient, and 2 in 3 have less than the recommended level. Vitamin D deficiency can manifest itself in symptoms like low immune function, fatigue, muscle weakness, mood imbalances and osteoporosis in older adults. We need this vitamin for many different things – calcium absorption, immune function, mood health, skin health, cardiovascular function, hormone balance, and even more. We choose D3 for our vitamin D supplements, because it’s the most natural form of vitamin D, and it’s easily absorbed in the body. One softgel contains your daily dose of 2500IU of vitamin D3 in a base of organic coconut oil for enhanced absorption.

Non-Medicinal Ingredients Organic virgin coconut oil (yielding 65-75% medium chain triglycerides)*, glycerin, purified water, bovine gelatin. *Organic coconut oil melts between 23 and 27 ̊C. It is normal if the contents of the softgel appear to be solid white or a golden liquid.

D3 2500IU helps to prevent vitamin D deficiency.

Directions

Adults - Take one (1) softgel per day with an adequate intake of calcium or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Cautions & Warnings

As with any natural health product, consult your doctor before using this product, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have kidney problems. Talk to your doctor if you take any prescription medications (especially antacids, anticonvulsants, cholestyramine, colestipol, mineral oil, steroids, statins, or thiazide diuretics), other vitamin D supplements (including multivitamins or similar products), or products containing vitamin D analogues. While 15-20 mcg (600-800 IU) of vitamin D daily is sufficient for most, consult your doctor to determine if you need more vitamin D before taking this product. Do not use if the seal is broken. Keep out of reach of children.

Known Adverse Reactions

Stop use and consult a healthcare practitioner if weakness, fatigue, drowsiness, headache, lack of appetite, dry mouth, metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, vertigo, ringing in the ears, lack of coordination and muscle weakness occur, which are early symptoms of hypercalcemia, or if you have any other side effects.

Contraindications

Do not use this product if you have hypercalcemia and/or hypercalciuria.
