Prairie Naturals CS-Force Plus Product Information
Prairie Naturals CS-FORCE PLUS combines Chondroitin Sulfate, Glucosamine Sulphate and Bromelain.* It contains the exact ratio of Glucosamine Sulfate and Chondroitin Sulfate recommended in the best-selling book “The Arthritis Cure” by Dr. Jason Theodosakis.* This safe and non-toxic joint support formula for arthritis sufferers of all ages has shown remarkable success.* CS-FORCE PLUS is fortified with bromelain, an enzyme derived from pineapple with anti-inflammatory properties. CS-FORCE PLUS also helps maintain and restore cartilage and connective tissue leading to a wider range of pain free motion.*
Each Softgel Contains:
Glucosamine Sulfate: is an amino sugar naturally produced in the body by glucose (blood sugar) combining with an amino group derived from glutamine (an amino acid).* This amino sugar is an essential nutrient for the healthy synthesis of connective tissue and synovial fluid.*
Glucosamine sulfate is used extensively in the process of all tissue building and is one of the nutritional building blocks of cartilage.* It stimulates the body's manufacture of collagen, the protein portion of the fibrous substance that holds joint connective tissue together.* Collagen is the main component of the shock-absorbing cushion called articular cartilage-the white, smooth surface which covers the ends of body joints, such as those in the wrist, fingers, toes, ankles, knees, hips and between the discs of the spine.* Osteoarthritis develops as a result of the wearing away of cartilage and the reduction of synovial fluid, another natural cushion for the joints.* There is significant research to demonstrate that treatment with Glucosamine Sulfate can actually reverse the effects of cartilage and joint damage and repair connective tissue.*
Chondroitin sulfate: Essential to cartilage growth and repair, chondroitin sulfate is produced by cartilage cells called "chondrocytes".* Chondroitin sulfate interacts with the building blocks of connective tissue, maintaining the normal function and structural integrity of the joints and other tissues. As the molecules in cartilage that attract and hold water, chondroitin sulfate helps cartilage retain its elasticity and fluidity, thereby increasing the pain free range of motion of the joint.*
Bromelain: Bromelain is a protolytic (protein digesting) enzyme derived from the pineapple plant.* Originally studied for therepeutic applications in the 1950's, it was first noted for digestive properties, though through later research, bromelain also proved to be an effective anti-inflammatory.* Bromelain reduces inflammation by first breaking down fibrin, which is the barrier the body creates around an injured area and creating a block that interrupts blood flow and tissue drainage, therefore creating swelling.* By stimulating plasmin production, the substance that breaks down the fibrin, bromelain can be effective in almost all cases of inflammation.*
