Let's dive in.
3 Easy Ways to Use Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap
1. Dish & Hand Soap
Using Dr. Bronner's as a dish and hand soap eliminates the need for you to buy multiple soaps. Although there are specific ratios, using Dr. Bronner's to make your own mixture allows you to adjust the potency of your blend so you can get it just the way you like.
This alternative for the run-of-the-mill chemical-filled soap you may currently use is perfect for both the bathroom and the kitchen. If you find the mixture to be a bit thinner than you're used to, try a foaming hand pump to give it some suds before you lather your hands or wash your dishes.
How to Make Dr. Bronner's Hand and Dish Soap
For this method, you can use the same ratio for both dish and hand soap. All you need to do is mix 1 part Dr. Bronner's to 10 parts water, pour it into your soap pump of choice and you're ready to go!
2. All-Purpose Cleaner
Switching to Dr. Bronner's for your all-purpose cleaner has a range of benefits. First off, it's guilt-free. This means no more worrying about your babies (fur or otherwise) being exposed to the harsh chemicals that most cleaners under your sink contain. Secondly, using Dr. Bronner's Castile Soap as your all-purpose cleaner means you can scent it however you like! If you're someone who likes to switch things up fairly often, then make smaller batches of your mixture and put a few drops of whatever essential oil scent you prefer. This is a fun trick to use during seasonal changes. Additionally, if you or someone in your household has allergies to scents, you can use the unscented version by itself.
Finally, an all-purpose cleaner that truly is all-purpose. You can use it to clean general grime around the house, or even give your windows and mirrors a streak-free shine.
How to Make Dr. Bronner's All Purpose Cleaner
To make your all-purpose cleaner, simply mix 1 part Dr. Bronner's to 16 parts water. If you want an unscented version, you're all done and ready to get cleaning. You can add a few drops of lemon essential oil for a classic citrus smell or choose the essential oil of your choice! It's truly customizable.
3. Laundry Soap
Considering your clothes are in direct contact with your skin more than anything else, it makes sense to be conscious about what's in the soap you wash them with. Luckily, when using Dr. Bronner's as your laundry soap of choice, you don't have to worry about your clothes being washed with chemicals you can't even pronounce. This way, you can feel good about what you wear every day.
This mixture can be used in your washing machine as a substitute for detergent. Plus, adding vinegar to the rinse cycle helps to get rid of any potential residue. In addition to this, you can use a smaller ratio when washing your clothes by hand.
How to Make Dr. Bronner's Laundry Soap
To make Dr. Bronner's laundry soap, put 1/3 cup soap into the detergent dispenser and 1/2 cup vinegar into the rinse cycle. It's that easy.
