3 Healthy At-Home Easter Ideas For the Whole Family

Get your Easter weekend sorted with these 3 fun ideas for the whole family.

Finding activities on Easter that the whole family will enjoy can be difficult. That's why we put together this list of our three favourite at-home Easter ideas (not including the basic Easter egg hunt).

First, hot cross bun flavoured Easter protein balls are a must (mainly because they'll keep you from finishing that giant chocolate bunny in one day.) Next, we'll show you a simple Easter smoothie (the kids will love this one). Lastly, an egg white lift mask to help you relax after a "long" weekend.

Let's dive in.

3 Healthy At-Home Easter Ideas For the Whole Family

1. Easter Protein Balls

These incredibly easy-to-make Easter protein balls will satisfy your hot cross bun craving without the guilt and quickly become a staple, (even if it's not Easter).

Here's what you'll need:

Now, the easy part, make your Easter protein balls!

Here's what to do:

Mix all of the ingredients. You can do it by hand but we suggest you skip the manual labour and use a food processor. Mix until fully combined.

Grab some of the mixture and roll it into 12 ping-pong-sized balls (feel free to delegate this task to the kiddos).

Refrigerate in an airtight container for a minimum of 1 hour before eating. (patience is a virtue, or so they say).

That's it. Seriously!

These easy and delicious Easter protein balls are a healthy alternative to the classic Easter sweets. They are also an awesome, high-protein snack to bring when you're on the go with the family. You can store them in an air-tight container and pack them for your picnic or scavenger hunt.

Pro Tip: When packing them in an air-tight container, put wax paper in between layers to keep them from sticking together.

2. Fruity Easter Egg Smoothie

This Layered Fruity Easter Egg Smoothie will give you a refreshing boost in the morning. It's also easy to make and will bring an Easter look to your table.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 9 ice cubes, divided
  • 9 tbsp nonfat milk (or milk of choice), divided
  • 9 tbsp water, divided
  • ½ c frozen pineapple
  • ½ c frozen strawberries
  • ½ c frozen blueberries
  • 1 Scoop vanilla protein powder

Since this is a layered smoothie you'll have to prepare the layers separately.

All of the layers are the same minus the type of fruit used. Follow these steps for each fruit layer. Blend 3 ice cubes, 3 tablespoons of milk, 3 tablespoons of water as well as the frozen fruit. We like to add a third of a scoop of vanilla protein powder to each layer to give it a little boost. Pour into your tumbler and put it in the freezer while you're making the other layers.

Alternate pouring the layers into your tumbler to make however many stripes you like (we keep it simple with three).

This recipe will make enough for one large tumbler but you can easily double or triple the recipe so the whole family can enjoy it!

3. Egg White Face Lift Mask

Although Easter is typically a time spent with family over a long weekend, it often leaves us in serious need of some "me time".

An egg-white facelift mask is the perfect way to relax at the end of the night.

This face mask is quick and easy to make. Here are the three ingredients you'll need:

Combine all three ingredients and apply the mixture to your face. Try to avoid getting it too close to your eyes and mouth. Finally, let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse off with warm water.
